Geraldton's Dan Santerre has been appointed Hydro One's director of remote communities.
Santerre, who is in charge of electrical distribution in the Far North, has 25 years of experience at the provincial utility.
Miles D'Arcey, President/CEO of Hydro One Remote Communities Inc. said Santerre has “in-depth knowledge of customer need and line-related challenges in northwestern Ontario.”
Santerre has worked his way up since joining Ontario Hydro is 1984 working as a lineman, health and safety specialist, and most recently as Provincial Lines Superintendent.
Hydro One Remote Communities, a subsidiary of Hydro One, operates 18 small generation and distribution systems in 20 remote communities that are not connected to the provincial grid.
