Dr. David Robinson, associate professor of economics at Laurentian University, will be talking about trends into 2010 at Bryston’s On The Park in Copper Cliff, Friday, Dec. 11 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m.

The talk, presented by the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, is designed to give chamber members an idea of what the economic picture will look like in the coming year. Robinson is known for columns on economic development in Northern Life and Northern Ontario Business and for commentaries in the broadcast media.

He is working to identify the Sudbury mining supply and services cluster and is giving it a key place in our development strategy, promoting the Centre of Excellence in Mining Innovation at Laurentian in its early stages.

Robinson is also the first person to propose an architecture school for Northern Ontario.

Tickets are $30 for chamber members and $50 for non-members.
