On Thursday, March 15, 2012, producers of the hit television show Dragons’ Den will be at Northern College’s Porcupine Campus searching for a new crop of aspiring entrepreneurs. Open auditions will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
No experience is necessary and participants of all ages are encouraged to audition. All interested entrepreneurs must be prepared to pitch their business ideas to the producers in under five minutes. If they can convince the Dragons’ Den producers they are ready for the limelight, they could be invited to face the Dragons in Toronto during the filming of the upcoming season.
“Northern College is proud to play host to the Dragons’ Den auditions,” says Fred Gibbons, President of Northern College. “Entrepreneurs have the passion and insight to help guide our community and region’s economic prosperity. With over 2200 small business in Timmins alone, I am sure the entrepreneurial spirit thriving in Northeastern Ontario will be well-represented.”
Auditions will be held throughout the course of the day. Candidates must apply online and bring the completed application form to their audition at Northern College. Applications and a list of additional tour dates can be found at http://www.cbc.ca/dragonsden/auditions.
Auditions are not open for public viewing but anyone with a great idea is encouraged to participate.
