Leading us to Prosperity, Collège Boréal's capital fundraising campaign, has surpassed the halfway point, raising $2.5 million in one year.
The funding, which is doled out through La Fondation du Collège Boréal, will go towards scholarships and bursaries for students in regions where the college maintains a presence. The campaign's ultimate goal is to raise $5 million.
“Collège Boréal students benefit from outstanding installations throughout our seven campuses thanks in large part to the generosity of our donors,” college president Denis Hubert-Dutrisac said in a news release. “That is a concrete result of a generous level of community support. Our fundraising campaign is on course to achieve its objective of $5 million.”
This year, more than 2,000 totalling $1.4 million will be awarded to students.
The campaign's cabinet is comprised of Michel Mayhew of Stantec (president), Marc Beaulieu of Vertex Consultants Inc., Marc Boissonneault of Xstrata Nickel, Marc Boudreau of Bestech, Sean Bradley of Acclaim Ability Management, Denis Hubert-Dutrisac of Collège Boréal, Maureen Lacroix, Paul Lefebvre of Weaver Simmons law firm and owner of Le5 Communications, Stéphan Plante of the Caisse populaire des Voyageurs, and Jonathan Treen of Vale.
