Growing demand for space in Collège Boréal's electrical practices and electrical engineering technician programs has prompted the school to open another program section, increasing capacity by 33 per cent.

First-year enrolment in the program now reaches 60 students, and is effective for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Interest in the program has also led the electrical practices program to be offered at the school's Timmins campus this year, with the added possibility of introducing the electrical engineering technician program in the fall of 2010.

Last April, Boréal introduced its first electrical pre-apprenticeship program specifically for women.
