Sudbury's Collège Boréal has the highest graduate satisfaction rate and the highest graduation rate amongst Ontario colleges, according to key performance indicators from Colleges Ontario.
Under graduate satisfaction rate, the school scored 86.6 per cent, compared to the provincial average of 78.9 per cent, while the college scored 74.2 per cent under the graduation rate, compared to the provincial average of 65 per cent.
"Our faculty and all of our staff do a remarkable job of ensuring that our students succeed,” president Denis Hubert-Dutrisac said in a news release. “Our students have professors who are constantly honing their expertise, access to learning support services, and modern facilities in which to learn. For all of these reasons, failure is not an option and Collège Boréal is, once again this year, one of Ontario’s leading colleges."
Hubert-Dutrisac believes that being educated in both French and English give graduates an advantage in the job market.
"In the current economic climate, it is very important for future students to explore the various programs that are offered by the colleges,” he said. “Many will succeed in achieving their career goals more effectively with the training that we are offering."
