Collège Boréal and TWG Communications are silver winners in the 2009 Summit International Creative Awards for development and production of the Mon Choix Smart 2009 television commercial.

“We are very pleased to have collaborated with our colleagues at TWG Communications and are elated for
this great accomplishment,” said Claudia-Ann Malette, marketing director at Collège Boréal. “Collège Boréal is
unique and we wanted to market it as such. The TV spot developed in collaboration with TWG Communications and our marketing team is a hit with our target market. The commercial was a key component in the college’s MonchoixSmart.ca campaign. Our enrollment has increased significantly from the last few years and we are quite excited that this initiative be recognized in such a fashion.”

Among the thousands of submissions from 26 countries, this creative spot scored among the very best from an international panel of judges. The Summit Creative Awards recognizes and celebrates the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized advertising agencies and other creative groups.

The main character of the Collège Boréal spot is a Smart car. The character was essentially brought to life
playing the role of a student. The compact size of the Smart car allowed the Collège Boréal Sudbury campus to serve as the filming location. The spot can be seen at TWG's website.

“Most post-secondary institutions tend to be conservative with marketing tactics. Collège Boréal specifically and clearly articulated a vision that their TV spot would stand out from other post-secondary ads, be different and unique,” said Donna Backer, lead account manager on the project for TWG Communications. “They took a risk to be unconventional and it paid off. We are very proud of this commercial and honoured for the award recognition."
