A construction-ready affordable housing project in Cobalt has seen a $1.5 million in investment through partnerships from various levels of government.
Construction on the 15 units will begin by September as a result of the successful funding application by Co-Tem Pro Native Non-Profit Housing Inc.
The funding was made available as a joint investment from the Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program Agreement, which draws money from Canada's Economic Action Plan and the Government of Ontario. The $1.2 billion joint investment is split equally between the federal and provincial governments.
