Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is looking to recognize the best practices of the private sector in building affordable housing.
CMHC is issuing a call for entries to their 2010 Housing Awards.
Karen Kinsley, President of CMHC, said it is an invitation for the private sector to bring forward innovative initiatives to improve affordable housing so those ideas can be shared across Canada.
Applications must present initiatives that have demonstrated a range of affordable housing solutions to meet the needs of the communities they serve.
The deadline for submissions is April 16, 2010. The winners will be announced next fall at an event in Ottawa.
