Three tentative deals were struck July 11 covering more than 500 union members with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union (CEP) at the Domtar's pulp mill and woodland operations in Dryden.

In a July 12 release, Stephen Boon, the CEP's national representative, said there were some “fairly challenging negotiations” during bargaining sessions over the past nine months.

No information will be released until members from CEO Locals 105-1, 105-3 and 324 have an opportunity to view the agreement at information sessions in Dryden and Ear Falls next week.

Final voting is scheduled to take place on July 26.
