Sudbury's Cambrian College has announced six appointments to its board of governors.
Abbas Homayed has been appointed to the position of chair. Homayed is a Cambrian alum, board member since 2006 and current vice-president of Laurentian Media where he serves as publisher of the Northern Life.
Joe Pilon, the senior vice-president of the Sudbury Regional Hospital, was named vice-chair.
Also joining the board are two new community members – Rick Grylls and Eric Kohtakangas – and two college-elected members – Joan Campbell, representing administrative staff and Dean Ray, representing students.
