Nominations can now be made for the 2010 Influential Women of Northern Ontario Awards.
The event, presented by Northern Ontario Business, honours women who have made a difference in their community by contributing to the economic wealth of Northern Ontario.
Categories are public sector, private sector, young entrepreneur and the Aspiring Achiever Scholarship, which is awarded to a Grade 12 student with an understanding women's role in leadership.
To be eligible for these awards, the nominee must:
• Hold a senior position with a private or non-profit company and/or made significant contributions to the company’s success
• Be in her position for a minimum of three years
• Go above and beyond the role of her career and contribute to her community
• Live within the region of Northern Ontario
The Northeastern Ontario awards will be held June 1 at the Water Tower Inn and the northwestern awards will be held in Thunder Bay June 3 at the Victoria Inn.

All nominations must be submitted before Feb. 19.
