The board of directors for Collège Boréal has approved an investment of $3.8 million into its new Toronto campus, which is set to open next September.
The Toronto campus provides francophone education for students in Barrie, Toronto and Windsor, and has been doing so for a decade.
The new, 47,000-square-foot campus doubles the current space and will be located on Yonge Street. By 2015, the college expects to increase the number of programs offered in central-southwestern Ontario to 30.
“This major investment reaffirms the presence and the commitment of Collège Boréal in regards to increasing access to post-secondary programs available in French in this region,” Diane Dubois, associate vice-president academic for central-southwestern Ontario, said in a news release. “This is a welcomed initiative to kickstart our 10th anniversary celebration in central-southwestern Ontario.”
