Southern Ontario workers building the Lower Mattagami hydro-electric dam project will have direct weekly service to Kapuskasing.

Starting July 12, Bearskin Airlines is launching a non-stop service every Thursday connecting to Hamilton's John C. Munro International Airport.

A single round-trip flight departs Hamilton at 7 a.m. and arrives at Kapuskasing at 8:45 a.m., with return service departing at 9:15 a.m. for arrival in Hamilton at 11 a.m.

In a July 10 release, the company said the decision to start the service is partly related to a demand for workers commuting between Hamilton and Ontario Power Generation's Lower Mattagami River Redevelopment Project north of town.

Introductory fares start at $345 one-way.
