Perrin Beatty heads to Timmins

Timmins ’ entrepreneurs will have the chance to chat with one of the country’s top business advocates during A Conversation With the Canadian Chamber of Commerce , to be held at the Schumacher Lions Club Hall on May 9.

Timmins’ entrepreneurs will have the chance to chat with one of the country’s top business advocates during A Conversation With the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, to be held at the Schumacher Lions Club Hall on May 9.

Hosted by the Timmins Chamber, the event will feature a keynote presentation from Canadian chamber president Perrin Beatty, who will discuss the top 10 challenges faced by business. This will include topics such as Aboriginal education, workforce development, education-employment alignment, immigration policies and up-skilling.

Prior to joining the Canadian Chamber in 2007, Beatty served in a variety of prominent national positions, including several terms as an MP and cabinet minister within the federal government, president and CEO of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and president and CEO of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters.

Tickets to the event are $25 plus HST for chamber members, and $40 plus HST for future members.
