Northern Ontario Angels (NOA) is seeking Timmins-area entrepreneurs to propose their business ideas for a chance to gain access to new investment opportunities.

NOA will hold its fourth annual pitch-style event on Oct. 3 at Collège Boréal in Timmins. Eligible entrepreneurs will have a chance to propose their business idea, product or service to a panel of investors.

Entrepreneurs, innovators and businesses in need of capital to start up, commercialize, scale up or expand are encouraged to apply.

Only three spots are available.

“This is your opportunity to pitch to over 475 accredited investors in the NOA network,” said Chris Winrow, chairman of the NOA board of directors, in a March 4 news release.

"Angel investing plays an essential role in economic development. Whether you are an active or potential angel, an aspiring entrepreneur or simply interested in strengthening our business community, we hope to see you at the event.”

Timmins Pitch 2019 is co-hosted by Northern Ontario Angels and Timmins’ Productivity & Innovation Centre, in partnership with BDO, the Timmins Economic Development Corp., the Timmins & Kapuskasing Chambers of Commerce, and the Business Enterprise Centre.

As of December, 2018, Northern Ontario Angels has closed 255 deals with more than $120 million invested, and more than 3,000 full-time and 1,000 part-time positions created.

Interested entrepreneurs must apply by Monday, April 29.
