Crews clean up derailed freight cars (6/02)

Repair crews from NorBuilding Enterprises and Ontario Northland crews spent the last weekend in May righting six derailed CN freight cars loaded with phosphate in Hearst. A 170-ton Dutch crane was used to lift the 132-ton cars back on track.

A 170-ton Dutch crane was used to lift the 132-ton cars back on track. The cars were carrying phosphate rock originating from Agrium's mine and mill phosphate operations near Kapuskasing. Agrium ships rock through Hearst and south to Oba for transfer to Saskatchewan and Alberta.
