City identifies waterfront development as top priority (11/01)

The City of Thunder Bay has prioritized developments, and the waterfront project has come out at the top of the list.

The City of Thunder Bay has prioritized developments, and the waterfront project has come out at the top of the list. Under the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines Millennium Partnership funding, the city is eligible for $11 million for a major city project and the $17-million waterfront development has been identified as a top priority.

Other areas identified as priority in a recent report include: the northwest arterial road, a $27.1-million project; infrastructure improvements, which would cost about $6.9 million; the 110th Avenue bridge, a $11-million project; and the $15-million Shabaqua Expressway.
