Wireless provider expands service to Northern Ontario (5/02)

TELUS Mobility has expanded its digital wireless service to include the City of Greater Sudbury and surrounding areas.

TELUS Mobility has expanded its digital wireless service to include the City of Greater Sudbury and surrounding areas. The move is part of the national wireless provider's plans to expand its national network to new service areas across Ontario and Quebec to bring more competition and choice to customers, a spokesperson for the company says.

In June TELUS Mobility will open its own corporate retail store in the New Sudbury Shopping Centre.

The company's expanded national coverage was achieved through a combination of network buildouts and the implementation of enhanced wireless roaming/resale agreements with Bell Mobility and Atlantic Canada's Aliant Telecom Wireless.
