Specialty Alloys and Stainless Ltd. in Sudbury is getting provincial help to expand its custom metal fabrication production company and create six jobs.

The company manufactures products for mining and other industrial sectors. It’s building a 5,200-square-foot addition to its Sudbury facility. The expansion project also involves the installation of two cranes and a laser cutter.

“Whenever the (province) partners with a small company such as ours, it is a win for everyone, and Specialty Alloys is so excited to be doing something that will benefit our community,” Specialty president Doumer Horace said in a release.

Assistance is being provided through a $500,000 investment from the province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NOHFC).
