Patricia Mills, Publisher of Northern Ontario Business, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Craig Gilbert as Managing Editor of Northern Ontario Business.
Prior to joining NOB, Gilbert worked as a reporter with Northern Life, Laurentian Media’s community newspaper in Sudbury. Gilbert covered the political beat and wrote investigative news stories about topical issues in the fields of health, education and business.
He has also been employed as a freelance writer and research promotion writer and worked for a time at the Elliot Lake Standard in Elliot Lake.
A native of Espanola, Ontario, Gilbert is an honours graduate of Cambrian College’s Print Journalism program. He also holds a BA in Communication Studies from Laurentian University.
Gilbert is responsible for managing and implementing the overall editorial direction of Northern Ontario Business, as well as its feature publications - the Ultimate Business Reference Tool, the Northern Ontario Business Awards souvenir program, the Influential Women of Northern Ontario Awards program, the Executive Golf Guide and the Around the North e-newsletter.
His community work includes volunteering for Sudbury’s Victims of Crisis Assistance and Referral Service (VCARS), as well as for the Canadian Diabetes Association.
