LU to tender for new residence (01/05)

Laurentian University has approved the detailed plans for the first student residence to be constructed on campus since 1972. The 225-bed residence will bring the number of students able to live at the campus to 1,400.

The 225-bed residence will bring the number of students able to live at the campus to 1,400.

Attached to the west of the existing single student residence (SSR), the new building will house at least six floors and be geared to graduate, medical

and upper-year students.

The tendering process is expected to start in January for a construction start in March.
