Software company opens up Sault Ste. Marie office

A London, Ont.-based software development company has opened a new office in Sault Ste. Marie.

LBMX announced the opening of its new location at the Millworks – Centre for Entrepreneurship incubation centre on Jan. 27.

The firm creates digital platforms for buying groups, including digital marketplaces, product information management (PIM), central and direct bill management, rebate and purchase analytics, and complete EDI services to assist members and groups to connect to their suppliers.

The firm has clients in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Australia and New Zealand.

LBMX said it would be “creating a key product line for the e-commerce sector” from its new Sault office.

“The buying group industry has reached an inflection point that requires setting the course towards creating more connected member experiences,” said Greg Dinsdale, president and CEO of LBMX, in a news release.

“We are delighted to establish a presence in Sault Ste. Marie, for this is a community of talented people that we believe will help LBMX capitalize on this turning point. This team will be integral in the development of our next generation e-commerce platform, which our buying group customers and their members are eagerly anticipating from LBMX.”

For several months leading up to the opening, the company has been working with local groups, including the city’s economic development department, Sault College, and the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corp.
