War with Iraq and upcoming provincial elections in Ontario and Quebec has resulted in the postponement of a Team Canada trade mission to Europe involving Sault Ste. Marie representatives.

City chief administrative officer Joe Fratesi and Sault MP Carmen Provenzano were to represent the Sault for the Italian leg of the mission in April.

A new date for the mission has not been set.

The city hopes to build ties with Italian companies looking to make inroads into the North American market.
