Sault Ste. Marie's ongoing trade mission links with Ireland continued in late May with almost 80 business people, educators and cultural representatives spending 10 days in the Irish Republic. The trade mission - running May 24 to May 31 in Louth County - will build upon previously established economic, educational and cultural alliances. It is the third mission between the Sault and Louth in several years. The mission focuses on establishing transatlantic joint ventures between businesses in environmental technologies, information technology, engineering, food technology, tourism and construction. Joining in with Sault delegates are companies from Nova Scotia, New Hampshire, Illinois and Minnesota.
