Sault economic development group names new leader

Dan Hollingsworth has been named the new executive director of the Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corp. (EDC)

Hollingsworth first came to the organization in 2013. Until his appointment, Hollingsworth was serving as the EDC’s director of business development and director of special initiatives.

Previously, he spent 12 years working as an initiatives officer for FedNor and more than three years as executive director of Rapids Community Investment.

Hollingsworth is involved with a number of boards and committees, including the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce, Future SSM, and Ontario's Algoma Country.

Hollingsworth holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Lake Superior State University and a Bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Algoma University.

The Sault Ste. Marie Economic Development Corp. supports economic development initiatives in the Sault Ste. Marie region.
