Sault Ste. Marie got an injection of cash to make improvements to its downtown core.

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. (NOHFC) has committed $875,500 to the city to help undertake a community improvement plan designed to encourage new developments and help property owners restore existing buildings.

The project includes streetscaping along Gore and Queen streets.
