The Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corp. is developing a new business plan to guide its operations over the next 15 years.
Toronto-based aviation consulting firm Aviotec has been hired to explore and make recommendations on all aspects of the airport and its operations. The Aviotec report is due to be completed by February 2014.
Included in the process are a three-week passenger survey, which got underway on Oct. 1, and a public open house being held at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre on Oct. 22. Participants will be entered into a draw for a travel voucher provided through Air Canada Express, Bearskin Airlines, and Porter Airlines.
The airport hopes to capture input from approximately 300 passengers.
