Young Sault Ste. Marie entrepreneurs have until this Friday, Aug. 9 to submit their business idea for the city’s 2019 Business Pitch Competition.

Hosted by the Millworks – Centre for Entrepreneurship, the event gives young entrepreneurs an opportunity to win grant money and professional business services toward getting their enterprise off the ground.

From the submissions, a committee will select five entrepreneurs to move on to the next round. Those selected will submit a one-minute pitch video and comprehensive business plan, which will be vetted by public voting and a plan scoring process.

The selected two finalists will then pitch their idea during the 2019 Bridges to Better Business event on Oct. 24, and an overall winner will be scored by a panel of judges and audience voting.
