McDougall Energy has been named a Best Managed Company for the eighth consecutive year.
Established in 1993, the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program is an initiative by financial services firm Deloitte to recognized best practices in Canadian-owned and -managed companies with revenues over $15 million.
McDougall Energy, a family-owned company headquartered in Sault Ste. Marie, was first named to the list in 2011 and received ‘platinum member’ status in 2018 for requalifying for seven consecutive years.
“It’s a great honour to be recognized, once again, as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies. We’ve seen continued growth over the past year, which I attribute to our strong management team and the dedication and commitment of all employees,” said company president Darren McDougall in a March 7 news release.
“This award is a clear sign we are on the right path and serves as increased motivation as we continuously strive to maintain a high level of business excellence in serving our customers, while investing in the communities where we live and work.”
McDougall has been in operation for more than 70 years, and is currently in its third generation of family ownership.
The company distributes Esso and Mobil fuel products in Canada, serving business, residential and retail automotive customers.
Winners of the 2019 Canada’s Best Managed Companies Award will be honoured in Toronto on April 17.
