Outward Bound, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing outdoor educational opportunities for personal and professional growth received a boost from FedNor in early January. FedNor is contributing $100,000 towards the construction of a multipurpose facility at the Burk's Falls national headquarters for Outward Bound. The facility will address the growing demands of the organization's programming by creating increased storage, providing a staging area for tour groups and additional facilities for program participants. FedNor also supported the pre-construction costs to prepare engineering design plans and undertake an environmental assessment. Outward Bound has created five full-time and two part-time positions since October 2001 and plans to continue hiring for positions.
