Denis Turcotte, the former head of Essar Steel Algoma Inc., will be a featured speaker in the Local Leaders series in Sault Ste. Marie on June 12.
Hosted by Strive Young Professionals Group, Turcotte will speak about the experiences and successes he’s encountered in his career as a professional engineer. Discussion will take place after the presentation.
Throughout his career, Turcotte has held various senior executive positions, including CEO at Essar Steel Algoma Inc., and is highly regarded by the North American investment community as a corporate executive. In 2006, he was recognized as Canadian Business Magazine's Top Chief Executive Officer.

Launched in March, Strive is an initiative of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce that aims to assist young professionals between the ages of 19 and 40 who are seeking meaningful professional development initiatives, networking opportunities, community interaction and participation as well as creating opportunities for recognition.
