The Northern Policy Institute (NPI) is seeking new board members to help shape its strategic direction.

With operations in Thunder Bay and Sudbury, NPI is Northern Ontario’s independent think tank, performing research, collecting and disseminating evidence, and identifying policy opportunities to support the growth of sustainable Northern Ontario communities.

Board positions last for three years, and members should have specific subject matter expertise, abilities or experience.

Specifically, economic development, Indigenous peoples, demographics, immigration, infrastructure, communities, and the environment are all topics of interest for Northern Policy Institute.

Board members participate in two teleconference meetings and two in-person board meetings each year, and are actively encouraged to participate in any other NPI events and conferences.

Board positions are voluntary with no financial compensation.

Eligible candidates are encouraged to fill out the online form at www.northernpolicy.ca/volunteer.
