Due to a lack of industry support, National Transportation Day 2002, slated to take place on May 31 in North Bay has been cancelled until further notice.
The level of support for the event this year was quite low, says a spokeperson with the transportation sector in North Bay. The national executive is presently considering alternative locations for the event. Last year the event was held in Montreal. The event would feature a conference, focusing on the diversity of careers within the transportation industry in Canada, as well as a national awards luncheon.
