A FedNor contribution of $25,000 under the Youth Internship Program will enable a young northerner to gain experience in the field of economic development and gain valuable work skills in North Bay.
The funding will provide the opportunity for a recent college or university graduate to work for Le Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord developing Internet and intranet sites, writing, testing and approving project programs, while acquiring skills in computer programming, project management, marketing and communications.
Since the launch of the program in 1997, FedNor has invested $9 million to assist more than 360 interns from across Northern Ontario with their first job.
