FedNor bucks airdropped into North Bay airport

North Bay 's Jack Garland Airport received FedNor funding more than $218,000 for infrastructure upgrades. Nipissing–Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin delivered the news March 8 on behalf of the Tony Clement, Minister for FedNor.

Funding of $148,858 is earmarked to extend hydro services to its airside development park and complete renovations to Hanger No. 9 which is being upgraded to attract a tenant.

An additional $69,597 will go toward creating 61 parking spaces at the passenger terminal and to install new door systems at two hangers to accommodate larger aircraft.

“The Jack Garland Airport is key to North Bay’s economic wellbeing and is a major factor in ensuring business development and growth in the region,” said Aspin in a statement.
