Event celebrates business leadership and achievement (9/02)

Nominations are being sought for outstanding leadership in the Tri-Town area. Celebrating Leadership and Achievement in the Tri-Town Business Community is a community-wide event recognizing the contributions of local business leaders.

Nominations are being sought for outstanding leadership in the Tri-Town area. Celebrating Leadership and Achievement in the Tri-Town Business Community is a community-wide event recognizing the contributions of local business leaders. The first business award night for the Tri-Town, An Evening of Excellence will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Cobalt Haileybury Curling Club. The evening is a collaboration of the Tri-Town and District Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club and the Tri-Town Foundation.

Each organization will have an opportunity to recognize outstanding leadership in their field. The Tri-Town and District Chamber of Commerce is launching two awards: The Len Wilson Business Excellence Award and the Community Builder Award.

Nominations are presently being sought for these awards. The deadline for nominations is Sept. 27, 2002.

The Rotary Club will recognize the commitment of those who are making junior achievement a reality in the Tri-Towns. They will also introduce a historical recognition that will highlight a significant event that has impacted the community. The Tri-Town Foundation will showcase a corporate fund donor and a local charity and grant recipient.

This gala event features an elegant five-course dinner and live music; black-tie is optional. Tickets are $100 each or can be purchased as part of a corporate sponsorship package.
