North Bay’s Downtown Improvement Association received FedNor funding in September to assist in ongoing efforts to increase tourism and business activity by revitalizing the city’s core.

FedNor is providing $58,5000 to the North Bay Downtown Improvement Association for marketing in the city’s downtown core.

The association is embarking on a variety of projects, including hosting activities such as a farmer’s market, community garage sale, strawberry festival. It also wants to establish professional services related to finance, law and health in the downtown to attract people and foster increased business activity.

The association has established partners to assist with the revitalization process, including the chamber of commerce, Heritage Gardners and Farmers Market Ontario.
