Canadore goes 3D

Canadore College and 3D hologram company JSA Holdings struck a three-year partnership to mutually support each other in film and television productions at last week's ICAMP conference.

Canadore College and 3D hologram company JSA Holdings struck a three-year partnership to mutually support each other in film and television productions at last week's ICAMP conference.

The new collaboration between JSA and Canadore creates applied research opportunities through the integration of VFX curriculum, 3D holograms, building mapping and webisode production in the classroom.

Students will be taught industry best practices and train on cutting-edge technologies while working on real world projects under the mentorship of JSA professionals.

“Canadore is the perfect partner for this venture because they know what it is to be flexible and think outside of the box,” said Jake Seal, president of JSA Holdings.

In April, Seal will be hosting a two-week boot camp and developing 3D curriculum for the Digital Cinematography program.

Canadore introduced Digital Cinematography in September, 2012 with a full student cohort. Applications for the 2013 program intake also indicate full classrooms for this fall.
