The steel framework is up on the new aviation campus for North Bay's Canadore College, scheduled for a fall 2002 completion. The $12.5-million project includes 26,000 square metres of classrooms, laboratories, hangars, lecture theatre and cafeteria. Situated at Jack Garland Airport, the facility will allow the college to expand its aviation program by about 40 per cent, to 240 students, as well as add more aviation-related courses. The province's SuperBuild fund invested $8.6 million in the project, while the remaining $3.9 comes from partners like FedNor and the local Air Base Property Corp.
