The Almaguin Highlands is being marketed as Canada's newest business development corridor in an effort to lure business to the region. The Almaguin Business Development Agency is positioning the region as the nation's newest entry into the world of business and land development. Part of the plan will be to develop business parks in the region, based on business needs for the industrial and commercial sectors. The campaign includes the isolation of 1,000 companies who are currently within the realm of relocating, expanding or forging new opportunities.
FedNor is supporting the initiative with a $100,000 contribution and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines has contributed $25,000 for the campaign.
