Canadore College's much anticipated new aerospace campus construction is expected to be complete in mid-August.

The $12.5-million facility located at North Bay's Jack Garland Airport has a tentative ribbon-cutting date of Sept. 27.

The 7,800-square-metre campus will include classrooms, laboratories, hangars, a lecture theatre and a cafeteria and allow the college's aviation program to increase its enrolment by 40 per cent to 240 students. Avionics, aircraft structure and aircraft maintenance will be taught.

In two years time, students from Guangzhou Civil Aviation College in China are expected to arrive in North Bay as part of an international joint agreement to complete their education.
