Thirty new jobs will be created at JKS Boyles in North Bay after their parent company purchased one of the largest suppliers of diamond-drill equipment in the mineral exploration industry. The Stockholm-based Atlas Copco has acquired Christensen Products of Salt Lake City, Utah. All production is being moved to North Bay, bumping up staff levels at JKS Boyles to about 80 people over the next few months. Some of the jobs include machinists, skilled trades and assembly positions. Christensen Products will continue supplying equipment to the Layne/Christensen Contracting Group, one of the world's largest exploration companies.
