One hot day is not a big problem. Weeks on end of hot days, however, is a big problem - especially in high humidity, like we get when we have hot days in Sudbury. Maybe you sit in your air conditioned home or air conditioned car all day and don't notice, but people who have to spend any significant amount of time outside certainly do.
This is why I get angry at most of your comments. You seem blissfully unaware of their negative impact. Either that, or you really don't care about other people.
I'm going with #2.

A "car free" section of the city doesn't mean all vehicles are banned.
It means that pedestrian traffic is prioritized. But downtown has far more pressing issues right now.

Thanks for the info.
I do think Covid probably threw a wrench into many plans, but I think we should be moving forward on those CIPs.

I think a good question to be asked is whether or not other sections of Greater Sudbury have, or could have, their own master plans.
Council had a meeting about "nodes and corridors". Did that provide any fruit at all toward building anything of note anywhere but downtown?
I'm getting the impression that not much came of it. But here is the article, for reference.

It's population.
Mississauga alone has almost as many people as the entirety of northern Ontario.
I am grateful that our MPPs keep pressing for our issues.
But I also feel like the mythical Province of Northern Ontario really needs some looking at, because we are basically the south's attic - only looked at when southerners need something.

The simple answer is that she was re-elected in her riding.
Oh, you mean why is she still in cabinet and not on the outside?
You lost. Get over it.
My preferred party doesn't even have official status, but its few remaining members are still moving forward. It's time Con supporters try that, for once.

Doesn't seem like it. It's a busy life being a public official.
Oh, are you complaining again just because they're not PC members?
Look at what they're doing. They're fighting to ensure that seniors get looked after. How can anyone be against that?
Do you see a headline that says "NDP official does X" and automatically get angry?
This isn't a healthy thing to do.

They said the same thing about the internal combustion engine when the majority traveled by horse and buggy.

I'm uninterested with cricket, but I am also uninterested in pickle ball and ultimate Frisbee.
I'm glad that newcomers to our city have a sport to enjoy and places to enjoy it.
