Where else are they going to get the money to pay the people on the Sunshine list. I am a senior citizen and own a home; I have to dip into my savings just to live every month and by doing so, I put myself in a tax bracket whereas I cannot claim a tax break. I am tired of seing my taxes used to try and "beautify" downtown. I live in Lively, the roads are atrocious. It's about time our local government starts thinking about Greater Sudbury and not just the CITY of Subury.

In an area with million dollar homes and a millions of dollars from the Tourism industry, while some people in the real Northern Ontario don't have the essentials to live, this is unacceptable, to keep money needed in the North,
south of the line, Conservatives don't care about us up here all they care about is the all mighty dollar staying south.

It will probably have to be replaced every spring due to snowplow damage .Isn't the police station right there, maybe a few jay walking tickets to the regular crossers would teach everyone to cross at the marked crossings and the police are already being paid so put 90,000 back in the bank.

I think that the NDP alliance with the Liberals has poisoned the NDP federal and provincial parties. I have been a staunch supporter of the Labor movement aii my life but I am having second thoughts of voting NDP this election . Our local MPPs are doing a great job against a majority Conservative government but without the power they will never prevail.

Watch out for these developers that have big ideas: it seems, that the first thing that happens after they get the ok to put shovel to ground, they cry poverty and ask the municipality to help them out with lower construction costs, a loan, changing the original plan, etc...

What the hell is " essential " travel? Unless it is medical supplies or food there should not be any travel permitted, from other countries. It is time our prime minister showed some bravery and shut down the airports for non-essential travel. In Canada we have people working from home, going to school from home, people losing their jobs at home, keep the foreigners out of our country. Any business can be done from HOME.
