The Collège Boréal Foundation has passed its capital campaign fundraising goal, raising more than $8 million for the Collège Boréal student scholarship fund and new facilities.

The original goal of the Sudbury school was to raise $5 million; in reaching $8 million, the school surpassed its goal by 60 per cent.

Last year, the Collège Boréal Foundation awarded more than 3,300 scholarships to its students. This 50 per cent increase in awarded scholarships over one year was made possible by the sound management of the scholarship fund that has now reached nearly $11 million. In 2012-2013, the Collège Boréal Foundation and Collège Boréal have disbursed to its students $2,085,865.
