Canadore College and ClevrU Corporation announced a new collaboration to deliver advanced online learning opportunities to Brazil and China.

International students have a significant economic impact to Canada. According to Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, total expenditures by international students resulted in a $6.5 billion infusion to the Canadian economy in 2008. There is a greater demand for higher education in emerging markets such as South America and Asia in order to bolster their economic development.

“Canadore is being recognized as a leader in education by many international markets,” said George Burton, president of Canadore College, in a press release. “By partnering with ClevrU, we can use a platform that can deal with different languages, mobile devices and operating systems that will maintain our program integrity and make it available globally.”

The College chose to collaborate with ClevrU, a dynamic, multilingual world-class learning platform, for its best practices in removing the barriers to international online education delivery. The company is renowned for being able to create a supportive learning environment for international students, while delivering rich and customized multi-media e-teaching content.

Chinese and Brazilian students will be able to access video audio, presentation slides and various other learning resources for Canadore’s Mobile Application Development program as early as September, 2013 with additional courses to follow.
