Cambrian College in Sudbury will offer a new tourism program starting in September.
The two-year course, which was developed in consultation with industry representatives, will teach students about the latest trends and best practices in hospitality and tourism.
They’ll acquire management, organization, and leadership skills, along with the ability to develop, market, and deliver memorable experiences for organizations of all types and sizes.
Students will also have the option of taking on a placement or major project to gain experience in the development of -quality customer experiences.
“This is a program for anyone seeking a mix of adventure, marketing, travel and business,” Janice Clarke, Cambrian’s vice-president of academic, said in a news release.
“We want to educate and train the next generation of leaders in tourism because there are plenty of opportunities in the field, either to work for an existing organization or launch your own business.”
The program is offered through the school’s newly named Douglas A. Smith Family School of Business.
