The Northwestern Ontario Technology Centre (NOTC) has launched The Idea Factory Challenge, an innovative project designed to stimulate entrepreneurship that can help diversify northwestern Ontario's economy and provide opportunities for its young people. The provincial government will invest $39,000 in the project, through the Prosperity Demonstration Fund.

The Idea Factory Challenge is a competition to find up to six winning ideas for development under the guidance of the NOTC. Project partners include Lakehead University, Confederation College, Thunder Bay Ventures and Thunder Bay Telephone. Winners will receive financial, business, technical and marketing support from the project partners.
