Performing proper due diligence in science, particularly in molecular-based research, calls for sophisticated software packages. Thunder Bay-based Genesis Genomics employees spent a year developing a package that will only copy specific portions of mitochondrial DNA, the human genome, something unheard of until now.
The company is in the process of finding a computing partner to distribute and market the software package.
